Customer Review

Their work was quick and efficient;  the  quality was great and they did a great job to clean up before they left.  The price was also  reasonable (got several bids to compare) and I would definitely recommend Competitive Solar to anyone.

Steve Leslie

Steve has been involved in the roofing industry as a contractor for thirty years. Steve began his roofing career by working with his father, Ralph Leslie, and learned how to become a successful roofing contractor and businessman during his years with Eau Claire Roofing, Inc.. Operating as president, Steve owned Eau Claire Roofing, Inc. in Eau Claire, Wisconsin from 2000-2007. Through hard work and determination the business grew. Steve increased his sales dramatically when he began concentrating on commercial work and especially through his collaborative efforts using exceptional roofing products manufactured by Duro-Last Roofing, Inc.. Known as “The World’s Best Roof” each Duro-Last roofing application is individually engineered and structured to address and satisfy the needs of any design situation.

In December of 2006 Steve returned to Hood River, Oregon where he previously resided for nineteen years. In March of 2007 Steve married Peg and together they launched Competitive Commercial Roofing, Inc. later that same year. Within six months of operation, CCR earned a Duro-Last Century Club award and generated over $500,000.00 in contracts. Steve’s enthusiasm for Duro-Last’s superior roofing system helped CCR get off to a running start; securing a second successful business venture for Steve. CCR installs the best roofing products available with the best roof guarantee in the business: No Dollar Limit Warranty(link). In 2008 Steve’s experienced professional roofing crew earned Competitive Commercial Roofing, Inc. Duro-Last’s prestigious Master Contractor Quality Award

As an established contractor, Steve brings a wealth of product knowledge and roofing expertise to the table. This is especially important when the success of the solar installation rests literally on the strength, durability, and reflectivity of the roofing membrane underneath.

In 2009 Steve and his friend of eighteen years, Fritz Reuter, a general contractor from Hood River, decided to join forces. Steve’s desire to have clean air to breathe and divert global warming was a perfect fit with Fritz’s conservation philosophy of changing the world one house at a time. Sharing a mutual goal, Steve and Fritz decided to combine their expertise and take this opportunity to a higher level by installing commercial roofs with clean energy solar systems. Incorporating commercial roof strategies with advantageous solar applications provides customers with one stop shopping. In addition, Competitive Solar furnishes an unprecedented warranty.
